App design for a travel app to Zermatt, Switzerland, bringing all the steps that go into planning a clients dream trip right to their fingertips. Conveniently located in one app, this UI/UX design aims to solve all of the annoyances one may run into when planning a trip to Zermatt so they don’t have to.

Problem:

The key problem this app aims to solve with regards to planning a trip to Zermatt is the planning of activities that rely on one another. Many of the activities in Zermatt require points a and b to get to c, meaning that some activities are contingent on one another. Since there are no personal cars allowed in Zermatt, it would be extremely inconvenient to miss a certain activity and have to re-do other steps to get back to it.

Solution:

In order to solve this problem, this app incorporates activity packages that bundle activities that should be done together. In case you want to plan your daily activities out thus app also offering a create your own package option where the user is given choices to select from to create a day of three activities that can be done together, automatically restricting activities that would not be possible with your chosen selection. The app also includes an interactive map that has color coded pin groupings that correspond to activities in a certain area that can all be done together. Once you have purchased your dream itinerary for your trip to Zermatt, navigate to your personal profile to see your schedule and purchased activities as well as have easy access to any tickets or confirmation you may need upon arrival. The splash page, logo design, and other illustrations seen in this app are custom designs made with Adobe Illustrator.
